100,000 Steps for Cormac, a memorial fundraising event for Pieta House, was launched by the President of the GAA Liam O’Neill along with the help of GAA legends, on Monday 30th June at the Clayton Hotel.

stlegar, who died of an inoperable brain tumour at the age of 24 on 25th July 2011.
This memorial walk will take place over 3 days at the end of August and gather legendary sporting heroes to walk in Cormac’s honour to acknowledge his determination, courage and dignity in his fight for life. There will be three themed routes visiting All Ireland winning clubs throughout Galway, led by various GAA legends. This will be the greatest collection of GAA Legends in the history of the GAA in Galway giving sports fans the opportunity to walk with their sporting heroes.
